The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants met personally to publicize the upcoming bout.
Former twice unified boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
